How the free balance, top-ups and Enterprise contracts are billed.

### Balance and billing

#### What do I get on Starter?

$1 of balance each month, with no card required. It pays for any call on your key at its listed rate.

#### Does the free balance carry over?

No. Starter's $1 expires at the end of the month, and the next month starts with a new $1.

#### How do I move to Developer?

Top up from $10 by card in the console. Your key stays the same, there is no monthly fee, and each call is billed from your balance at its listed rate.

#### Which calls are free?

Empty responses, failed prechecks and scheduled posts that were never sent. Verified fields are billed only when verification passes.

#### What happens when my balance runs out?

Calls stop until you top up. Auto top-up refills the balance when it drops below an amount you set.

#### Can an agent pay without an account?

Yes. With x402 an agent pays for each call as it makes it, so it needs no account or plan.

### Enterprise

#### How is Enterprise priced?

By contract. Sales sets the price with you from your volume and the data you need.

#### Is Enterprise still billed per result?

Yes. Every call is billed per result at your contract rates, and empty responses and failed prechecks stay free.
