Bring a key, or let the CLI sign you in.

The app needs one credential that can read your balance. It looks in three places, in this order, and uses the first one it finds.

A key you paste in Settings

Create one at console.aisa.one → API Keys. It is stored in your login Keychain and never leaves the Mac.

Open the DMG, drag to Applications

The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized, so macOS opens it without a warning.

Settings opens on first launch when no credential is found. With aisa login or AISA_API_KEY already set, it just starts.

Balance next to the AIsa mark, orange under $5, red at zero. Click for the panel, ⌘R to refresh now, right-click for the menu.

Common questions.

How do updates work?

The app checks aisa.one about once an hour. A new version shows up as an Update available banner at the top of the panel; click Install and it downloads, verifies, and relaunches. You can also check any time from Settings → Updates or the right-click menu, and turn automatic checks off there.

Will macOS warn me when I open it?

No. Every build is signed with AIsa's Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and updates are additionally signed with the app's own key, so it refuses anything that was not built by us.

What does it send, and where?

Requests go to api.aisa.one for your balance and usage, to clerk.aisa.one only during sign-in, and to aisa.one for update checks. Credentials are never logged. The on-disk cache holds balances and totals only.

What does it need?

macOS 14.0 or later on Apple silicon or Intel, and an AIsa account. Usage figures are scoped to the credential in use: an API key sees its own spend.
