> - Auth: `Authorization: Bearer $AISA_API_KEY`. Never print, log, or commit the key.
> - MCP (preferred for agents): `https://mcp.aisa.one/mcp`, signed in with OAuth, so there is no key to paste.
> - Agent Skill: `npx skills add AIsa-team/agent-skills --skill aisa`. Fallback with the AIsa CLI: `aisa skills install aisa`.
> - Paid calls need approval first. Docs, https://aisa.one/models, https://aisa.one/api, `/v1/models`, and MCP discovery are free to read. Before any paid, dynamically priced, or high-cost call, state the exact scope, rate, and maximum USD exposure, then wait for a separate user message approving that scope and cap. A request to collect data is not approval; do not send unapproved probes. Full rule: https://aisa.one/docs/llms.txt

# Install the AIsa Agent Skill

> Install the official aisa skill so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other coding agents know how to find and call AIsa tools.

An Agent Skill is a set of instructions your coding agent loads when working on a relevant task. The official `aisa` skill teaches your agent how to search AIsa's tool catalog, check pricing, and execute calls within your budget.

To perform actions, the skill uses an active connection: either MCP (recommended) or the AIsa CLI.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the skill">
    ```bash theme={null}
    npx skills add AIsa-team/agent-skills --skill aisa --agent claude-code --global
    ```

    Set `--agent` to your tool (`claude-code`, `codex`, `cursor`, etc.). Omit `--global` to install for the current workspace only. Requires Node.js 22.20 or later.

    If you already have the AIsa CLI installed, you can also run:

    ```bash theme={null}
    aisa skills install aisa
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect and sign in">
    Add the MCP server and approve browser OAuth; see [Connect via MCP](/docs/agent-quickstart). In terminal-only environments without MCP, use the CLI: `npm install -g @aisa-one/cli && aisa login` ([Use the CLI](/docs/get-started/cli)).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test in your agent">
    Paste this into your agent:

    ```txt wrap theme={null}
    Use the aisa skill to check my AIsa balance, then find three recent public updates about a company of your choice with source links. Ask me before any paid call.
    ```
  </Step>
</Steps>

Installing the skill teaches your agent the workflow; it is not approval to spend. Your agent still quotes each paid call and waits for your approval before running it.

## Manual install without npx

If `npx skills` is unavailable, download the skill files directly into your agent's skills directory. This example targets Codex (`~/.agents/skills/aisa`); change `aisa_skill_parent` for other agents.

```sh theme={null}
set -e
aisa_skill_target="$HOME/.agents/skills/aisa"
aisa_skill_parent="$HOME/.agents/skills"
aisa_skill_base="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AIsa-team/agent-skills/68f63a3af4840e999f680e966f7a935d712b796d/platform/aisa"
if [ -e "$aisa_skill_target" ] || [ -L "$aisa_skill_target" ]; then
  echo "Target already exists, skipping: $aisa_skill_target"
  echo "Not assumed official; inspect it before treating it as the AIsa skill."
  exit 0
fi
aisa_skill_tmp="$(mktemp -d)"
trap 'rm -rf "$aisa_skill_tmp"' EXIT
mkdir -p "$aisa_skill_tmp/aisa/agents" "$aisa_skill_parent"
curl -fSL "$aisa_skill_base/SKILL.md" -o "$aisa_skill_tmp/aisa/SKILL.md"
curl -fSL "$aisa_skill_base/LICENSE" -o "$aisa_skill_tmp/aisa/LICENSE"
curl -fSL "$aisa_skill_base/agents/openai.yaml" -o "$aisa_skill_tmp/aisa/agents/openai.yaml"
mv "$aisa_skill_tmp/aisa" "$aisa_skill_target"
```

Agents: use this path only when the CLI gate in [Use the CLI](/docs/get-started/cli) holds, `npx skills` cannot run, and the official skill is still needed on disk. Preserve an existing official or custom skill, including a symlink.

## Browse more skills

The core `aisa` skill covers the general catalog. Specialized skills for market research, SEO, social intelligence, and search are in the [Agent Skills catalog](/docs/agent-skills). You can install them anytime via `npx skills add AIsa-team/agent-skills --skill <name>` or `aisa skills install <name>`. Source: [AIsa-team/agent-skills](https://github.com/AIsa-team/agent-skills).
