# Industry Search

> Resolve an industry from free text into ranked taxonomy codes for list-generation filters.

Resolve an industry from free text into akta's taxonomy codes — 30K+ sub-sectors across 4 hierarchy levels — ranked by similarity. "warehouse automation" returns the exact codes plus adjacent industries you may not have named. Feed the codes into the `industry.industry` filter of [`list generation`](/docs/api-reference/akta/post_list-generate-companies).
